Brush care and instructions
Taking care of your makeup brushes is crucial for keeping them clean, hygienic, and long-lasting. Here are some basic care instructions:
1. Clean Regularly: Aim to clean your brushes at least once a week,
especially those used for liquid or cream products.
2. Gentle Cleanser: Use a mild soap or brush cleanser designed specifically for makeup brushes. Avoid harsh detergents that can damage the bristles.
3. Warm Water: Rinse the brushes under lukewarm water, avoiding hot water as it can damage the bristles and loosen the glue holding them together.
4. Be Gentle: Gently swirl the brushes in the palm of your hand or on a textured silicone brush cleaning mat to loosen makeup residue.
5. Avoid Soaking: Try not to soak the entire brush, as it can weaken the glue and cause bristle shedding.
6. Pat Dry: After rinsing, gently squeeze out excess water with a clean towel and reshape the bristles.
7. Air Dry: Lay your brushes flat on a clean towel to air dry, ensuring they are completely dry before storing them.
8. Store Properly: Store your brushes upright in a brush holder or cup to maintain their shape and prevent dust accumulation.
9. Avoid Sharing: To prevent the spread of bacteria and infections, avoid sharing your makeup brushes with others.
10. Replace When Needed: Keep an eye on the condition of your brushes. If the bristles become frayed, lose their shape, or start shedding excessively, it's time to replace them.
